文昌帝君的話語

帝君曰:

【譯文】文昌帝君說:



吾一十七世為士大夫身,未嘗虐民酷吏;

【譯文】我自先世以至末世,共計經過了一十七個世代,均是任職居官,管理眾人之事,做了高階官員。一向愛民如子,從來沒有虐待老百姓;而且待人以寬,未曾以殘暴手段,對付下屬。



救人之難,濟人之急,憫人之孤,容人之過。

【譯文】若遇他人遭遇困苦患難,總是竭盡我力,拯救他們。若是他人有急迫性需要時,定要盡我財力,予以濟助。若是有孤苦伶仃之人,就發同情心,加以憐憫。若逢他人有過失,務要容忍包涵,使他懺悔改過。



廣行陰騭,上格蒼穹。人能如我存心,天必錫汝以福。」

【譯文】於是文昌帝君就特別再開示一些天經地義的大道理,來教悔世人:



昔于公治獄,大興駟馬之門;

行時時之方便,作種種之陰功。

利物利人,修善修福。

【譯文】一言一行,必皆有益於無情的萬物,以及有情的人類。並且勤修善業,以達福慧雙增。



正直代天行化,慈祥為國救民。

【譯文】以正直無邪的胸懷,代天行道,教化眾生,去惡行善。以慈悲祥和的行為,上報國家,下救萬民。



忠主、孝親、敬兄、信友。

【譯文】盡忠領袖,孝順雙親,恭教兄長,取信朋友。



或奉真朝斗,或拜佛念經。

【譯文】或者奉事天仙和朝拜星斗,或者禮拜佛祖、念誦經咒。



報答四恩,廣行三教。

【譯文】心懷感激,常委懷有酬報答謝父母、眾生、國家、三寶、育我教我的重恩,並普遍推行儒、釋、道三教的義理,志行度一切眾生。



濟急如濟涸轍之魚,救危如救密羅之雀。

【譯文】濟助他人的窮困,就像濟助車轍中缺水的魚蝦。拯救他人的危難,就像拯救陷在羅網中的鳥雀。



矜孤恤寡,敬老憐貧,

措衣食,周道路之饑寒;施棺槨,免屍骸之暴露。

家富,提攜親戚;歲饑,賑濟鄰朋。

【譯文】家境如果富裕,就要常常扶助和照顧內親和外戚。遇到年歲歉收,饑寒載道,對左鄰右舍,親朋好友,應當竭盡財物,給予救濟。



斗秤須要公平,不可輕出重入;

【譯文】與人交易必須公正、公平,用來計算容量的升斗,以及計算重量的秤具,決不可以發生賣出少給,而買進卻多收的詐巧行為。



奴僕待之寬恕,豈宜備責苛求。

【譯文】印贈經書和繪製佛像,以弘法利生;創建或修理寺院,以供奉三寶。



捨藥材以拯疾苦;施茶水以解渴煩。

【譯文】疾病為八苦之一,為人人所不能免,若遇有患病痛苦之人,應即施捨醫藥,使他痊癒、恢復使康。渴則思飲,尤以在行旅之中為甚,滴水難求,宜施與清茶淨水,解救他人因乾渴而生的煩惱。



或買物而放生,或持齋而戒殺。

【譯文】世間最寶貴的,莫如生命,眾生又皆具有佛性,想到生物遭宰割的苦痛,就應該儘量出錢、出力,鼓勵放生的行為。五戒以殺為首,應受持齋戒,不食葷腥,以免殺傷生命。



舉步常看蟲蟻,禁火莫燒山林。

【譯文】雖是微小生物,也是性命一條,所以在舉步投足之間,要看清地上有無蟲蟻?免遭踐踏,殺傷生命。山林中是多種生物棲息的地方,若被烈火燃燒,將斷種絕後,永無遺類,故應嚴禁煙火入山。



點夜燈以照人行,造河船以濟人渡。

【譯文】黑夜難行,且易發生災患。若有燈火照明,既方便通行,又可以防患於未然。河川阻隔通行,令旅人徘徊嘆望!若有渡人之舟能載人到達彼岸,該是何等歡欣!



勿登山而網禽鳥,勿臨水而毒魚蝦。

【譯文】山林本是禽鳥生息處所,若網而補之,供人食玩,有失慈悲胸懷!湖沼水澤,是魚蝦的窟宅,若用藥物毒殺,將斬盡殺絕,慘何可言!



勿宰耕牛,勿棄字紙。

【譯文】牛能耕田,是食糧的來源,如此大恩大德,若殺而食之於心何忍!聖言古訓,都賴文字以傳後世,片紙隻字,都不可隨意遺棄,以致蔑視文化。



勿謀人之財產;勿妒人之技能;

【譯文】貨物財產,都是各有其主,若是非我所有,雖一毫亦不可取;何況奸謀詭計,強取強奪,將使天下大亂!學問之道,貴在切磋琢磨,相互研究,才有進步,切不可忌人之長護己之短!



勿淫人之妻女;勿唆人之爭訟;

【譯文】萬惡淫為首,誰無妻女,豈可任意侵犯!居家戒興訟,訟則終凶,何況唆使他人興訟,害已害人,莫此為甚。



勿壞人之名利;勿破人之婚姻。

【譯文】世人所重者,就是名和利,不宜存心破壞!男女婚姻,乃是人生大事,俗話說:姻緣天註定,豈可狹嫌懷恨而使之乖離!



勿因私讎,使人兄弟不和;勿因小利,使人父子不睦。

【譯文】同胞兄弟,就像人之手足,兄友弟恭,亦是人之天性,豈可因私人仇恨而使之反目!父子是人之天倫,父慈子孝,也是人之至樂,豈可因貪圖小利而使之如同水火!



勿倚權勢而辱善良,勿恃富豪而欺窮困。

【譯文】法律之前,人人平等,豈可倚權仗勢,侮辱善良百姓。富貴如浮雲,豈可恃一時的富有,就妄自尊大,欺侮貧困之人。



善人則親近之,助德行於身心;惡人則遠避之,杜災殃於眉睫。

【譯文】與善人居,如入芝蘭之室,身心受它的熏陶和感化,大有助於德行的修養。與惡人居,如入鮑魚之肆,應時生警惕,避而遠之,杜絕迫在眼前的災難。



常須隱惡揚善,不可口是心非。

【譯文】隱人之惡,使人悔而改過;揚人之善,使人樂而精進,如是鄉黨和諧、社會安樂,豈不是人生一大快事!做人要是非分明,心口如一,豈可口蜜腹劍,自欺欺人。



翦礙道之荊榛,除當途之瓦石。

【譯文】荊榛滿道,瓦石當途,翦之、除之,使成為坦途大道,以便利行人。



修數百年崎嶇之路,造千萬人來往之橋。

【譯文】陸地上的道路,若年久失修,必然高低不平,整修之後,使成為康莊大道,以免行旅人的困苦;河川上若無橋樑,怎能到達彼岸?搭建橋樑,可使無數人來往稱便。



垂訓以格人非,捐貲以成人美。

【譯文】著書立說,遺教世人,以矯正一般人的邪知、邪見。捐助財物,濟世利物,以成全他人的修福修慧。



作事須循天理,出言要順人心。

【譯文】做事要循規蹈矩,合乎自然的法則,不可以倒行逆施。說話要真誠信實,順乎人之本性,不可有違心之論。



見先哲於羹牆,慎獨知於衾影。

【譯文】仰慕先賢大德,坐時,好像現在牆壁之間;食時,又好像浮在羹湯之上。在幽思獨處的時候,要戰競惕勵,使見形影而不自慚形穢。對衾席而不有愧我心。



諸惡莫作,眾善奉行。

永無惡曜加臨,常有吉神擁護。

【譯文】如能信守上說二句,那麼凶惡之煞,將永不降臨;而吉祥之神,必常來加被。



近報則在自己,遠報則在兒孫。

【譯文】善惡報應,是絲毫不差的,不過時間有遠近,近的即現於本身,遠的,將報在子孫。



百福駢臻,千祥雲集,豈不從陰騭中得來者哉?」
